A VIP client dinner at the Trafalgar St James

Cora co-hosted her first client event with Laura at the newly renovated Trafalgar St James, London on Wednesday 1st May, with 6 of our wonderful clients, alongside Ben Couldridge, the co founder of Hotel Associates who introduced us to this amazing venue.

We welcomed our guests in a VIP sectioned off area of the stunning rooftop terrace with a glass of fizz, whilst admiring the magnificent views over Trafalgar Square! It was a great talking point for us all to watch the hustle and bustle of the busy square and beyond spotting the famous skyline buildings.

The entire Rooftop event space can be hired exclusively and can hold up to 180 delegates in total or you can book smaller sections / rooms to suit your numbers. The best thing about the roof terrace is that the majority is covered with a retractable roof making it a great all-weather option (with the added bonus of powerful patio heaters and blankets to accommodate the typical English weather!).

After enjoying the views and several of glasses of fizz, we were then taken on a short tour to see a couple of example bedrooms; we were very pleasantly surprised how spacious the standard bedrooms are – they are very well designed, light and airy. There are 131 bedrooms in total with 15 lavish suites.

We next saw ‘Biblio’, which is a stylish living room with it's own bar exclusively for hotel guests and available to hire for events - this space can accommodate up to 60 delegates seated and 80 standing.

We were then fortunate to have a sneak peak into the beautiful brand new bar and restaurant located on the ground floor, which offers an all day dining experience - it was to be launched the next day so we did feel honoured to see it first! We then made our way back up to the roof terrace to ‘Room’ which is a glassed enclosed private dining room with a maximum capacity of 14 on one table – again the views are amazing! We were all treated to a delicious three course meal, served ‘family style’ allowing us to sample a variety of the dishes available, alongside the wine too of course! The waiters were very friendly, attentive and ensured those guests with dietary requirements were informed of what was being served.

It truly was an amazing experience for us and our clients to get an overview and feel of this stunning property, we especially like that there’s not lots of event spaces so you would feel very exclusive when hosting an event here. The roof terrace is most definitely the highlight of the hotel and has so many options for large or small events up to 180 as the areas divide easily if required.
