Quinta Da Marinha fam trip!
Last month, Sarah had an amazing weekend in Lisbon, staying at the gorgeous golf resort, Quinta Da Marinha hotel. The hotel is located in the picturesque town of Cascais, which is just a 30 minutes drive away from Lisbon centre.
‘The fam trip started with a flight from Heathrow to Lisbon on the Saturday morning - TAP, who kindly sponsored the flights, upgraded us to business class which made the 2 and a half hour flight extra comfortable! Once we landed in Lisbon we were introduced to our lovely hosts Francisco and Paulo, we soon made our way to the hotel, which would be home for the next couple of days.
When we arrived at the hotel we were all stunned with how amazing the property is! The building itself is a brilliant shade of terracotta, which immediately gave the feel of being on holiday. The sun was shining so there was only one thing to do - head to the pool and have a drink! We all made our way to our rooms to get changed, which turned out to be the most amazing suite with a fabulous balcony that looked over the pool and out to the golf course!
Once everyone had refreshed we headed down the pool to have a drink. We then decided it would be a great opportunity to go out and see what Cascais has to offer! So we all piled into Francisco and Paulo’s cars and heading to the centre of Cascais where we explored and had a quick drink looking over the marina. We then headed back to the hotel to relax before dinner.
Before dinner we were shown The Lake House, which is an amazing and quirky space away from the main hotel and as you probably assumed it was located right on a lake! The max capacity of the space is 250, it’s perfect for dinners, parties and conferences. After viewing The Lake House we went back to the hotel for a delicious 3 course dinner, which was authentic Portuguese cuisine.
After dinner and a couple of glasses of wine it was time to make our way to the Beach Club where we would drink and dance the night away!!
The following day, we were transferred over to Dom Pedro Hotel for lunch, which is located right in the heart of Lisbon. After being fed and watered it was time to make our way to the Rock in Rio Festival! Dom Pedro had a VIP Lounge that we had access to, this was great as it meant we all had a place to sit and chill whilst we waited for the acts to come on. The biggest of the acts were Demi Lovato and Bruno Mars who came on last; they were both SO amazing and really interacted with the audience. There was also a huge fireworks show that illuminated the whole festival and made it so special! Once Bruno Mars had concluded his set it was time to head back to the hotel for our final nights sleep in Portugal!
On the Monday it was unfortunately time to go home. We were allowed late check out which gave us a little extra time to really enjoy our suites. After that it was time to say goodbye to everyone and fly back to England.
I would just like to say a HUGE thank you to everyone on this fam trip, in particular the wonderful hosts - Francisco & Paulo from the Quinta Da Marinha, Clara from TAP, Nicola from the Dom Pedro and Frederico from Dynamize DMC. It was such an amazing experience that I will never forget!!
