Tewkesbury Park Client Trip

On Friday 2nd February Laura and Hannah co-hosted our first client trip of the year at the beautiful Tewkesbury Park Hotel which is set in 165 acres of Gloucestershire Parkland. Read all about it below…

‘We welcomed 5 of our lovely clients and their guests for an exclusive evening of gin tasting and delicious food alongside Amanda & Maddie from the sales team at Tewkesbury who showcased their brand new meeting space and 5 star service!

The evening began in the Berkley Bar, which was reserved exclusively for our group. Tilly, a represenative from the well known local gin and vodka distillery, Chase Distillery, welcomed us and our guests with a refreshing G&T. We were given a brief history of the Chase Distillery which was fascinating to hear all about as it’s a family run business based in Hertfordshire with the Dad & two sons (along with the rest of the team!) creating gins & vodkas from potato to bottle! Along with listening about the successful 400 acre estate we sampled a selection of some of their most popular spirits and liqueurs, which was a great icebreaker and talking point for the group! Chase Distillery can be booked for an event of up to 25 guests at the hotel for a tasting experience; some of their produce can even be bought in ‘The Nineteenth’ boutique shop onsite at the hotel.

The Berkley bar, along with the Cotswold Suite are recent additions to the hotel, flowing perfectly from one space to the other - this space is ideal for a drinks reception in the bar followed by a dinner in the suite, or for a lunch/refreshment space after a conference in the main room. The huge bi–fold doors lead outside from the Berkley Bar to breathtaking views over the Cotswolds! The outside area is perfect for a summer party or informal BBQ dinner utilising the outside terrace with its large brick-built BBQ and wood fired pizza area with seating and wooden sharing table areas - these tables have a long hollow space down the centre for ice where you can chill your wine and beers!

Once we’d enjoyed our gin and vodka tasting, we were guided to the beautiful Duke of Gloucester room for a sumptuous 3 course dinner which we all preordered, Hannah had crispy brie to start followed by sea trout and crab croquettes before finishing with caramelised apple and winter berry crumble, paired with a lovely sauvignon. This beautiful room comfortably seats 30 in theatre style with a large plasma screen. Alternatively the room can accommodate 20 for an intimate private dinner. There were lots of laughs and chatter before everyone retired to the bar for a nightcap and then off to their luxurious bedrooms for a good nights sleep! The next morning we enjoyed a lovely cooked breakfast in the Garden Restaurant, this room is due to undergo a substantial refurbishment to match the décor in the rest of the hotel - we can’t wait to see the final result! Some of our guests extended their stay to allow time to explore the beautiful villages & towns surrounding Tewkesbury.

The hotel would be perfect for an incentive weekend, it’s so easily accessible from Junction 9 of the M5 and with ample free parking it makes it so convenient for guests travelling by car! Guests can explore the beautiful area of the Cotswolds or combine with a visit to Cheltenham racecourse which is just 20 minutes away from the hotel! The hotel also boasts a lot of leisure facilities including a par 72, 18 hole golf course, outdoor hot tub, sauna, steam room, tennis and squash courts too! As well as plenty of space for team building events, it’s the perfect venue for anything from corporate golf days, to inflatable obstacle courses in their 10 acre field to a summer BBQ party, to a large conference for up to 250 theatre style. The hotel has a total of 92 bedrooms including 6 suites with feature bathtubs in the rooms so would be perfect for residential events!’
