Earlier this week Hannah and Sarah had the opportunity to go on a road trip to the midlands! They visited 6 different hotels in the area. The Midlands has been requested more and more frequently in recent enquiries so they thought why not go and improve further their venue knowledge!
The first 3 venues they visited were Chesford Grange, Stratford Manor and the Stratford which are all Q hotels. Each hotel was impressive for different reasons. At Chesford Grange there was SO much conference space, the biggest space being the Kenilworth Suite which has a max capacity of 700 in theatre. The space is so versatile and can be used for any sort of event! Stratford Manor has such generous bedrooms; we especially liked the VIQ bedrooms! The Stratford Hotel is in such a lovely location and warrants a leisurely drive through the centre of Stratford-upon-Avon. The location wasn’t the only thing they loved about the venue; they had a beautiful front lawn where they can accommodate summer BBQ’s.
Later in the day they visited Brandon Hall Hotel which is a Mercure property. When they first arrived they had a lovely lunch in the Bewick Bar which had a lovely relaxed feel with patio doors leading out onto the front lawn. At Brandon Hall there are a total of 17 meeting spaces which includes the Woodland Suite which is separate for the main hotel which means it can be used exclusively by one big event.
After Brandon Hall, Hannah and Sarah headed over to Jury’s Inn Hinckley Island. It has a grand total of 362 bedrooms and 26 newly refurbished meeting spaces. The Rotunda in the centre of the hotel had a very grand feel and can be used for a drinks reception for larger parties. There is also an area called the Training Suite which is self contained on the top floor, perfect for board meetings. For a large hotel it is very well looked after and is consistently impressive and of course you can’t forget the Marco Pierre White restaurant on site! It really is a fabulous venue with the versatility to host any kind of event!
Following on from Hinckley Island the girls went on to their last hotel of the day. The sixth and final hotel was New Hall which is part of the Handpicked hotel chain. New Hall is a very charismatic venue which is to be expected from a 13th Century property. It’s a perfect venue for intimate meetings and private dinners. Hannah and Sarah’s favourite space in the hotel was the Great Chamber which is a beautiful wood paneled room, which has a max capacity of 65 in theatre. It has so much history, including small love notes carved into the glass which gives it a very romantic feel and makes for a lovely talking point! The largest space was the self contained Garden Pavilion which can be used all year round, it can hold up to 180 people in theatre style!
After a day visiting the Midlands Hannah and Sarah can DEFINITELY say there is such a range of venues to choose from for any kind of event you need a venue for! Thank you to everyone who took time out of their day to conduct the site visits!
