Happy 3rd Anniversary Bell Events!

We can’t believe Bell Events has reached its third birthday! Continue reading to find out what the Bell Events team has been up to in our third year …

It’s been an incredibly busy and successful 2017 for Bell Events! The team has now organised more than 500 events across the continent since we opened for business in August 2014. 500 events is quite a milestone for the company and something we are extremely proud of.

2017 has seen us continue to strengthen relationships with our existing clients as well as gain some exciting new clients.  The team has also attended numerous fam trips, both in the UK and Europe and we’ve hosted some fantastic client trips and met with literally hundreds of hoteliers!

The Bell Events team has grown this year – in the spring we welcomed Sarah who is our new Junior Event Coordinator.  Sarah has quickly settled in to her role and has already built a good relationship with clients and venues, organising a variety of events. 2017 has also seen Hannah promoted to Event Manager after being at Bell Events for nearly 2 years!

The team were incredibly excited to welcome Laura’s daughter, Henrietta, in to the world on the 24th September 2016. ‘Hettie’ regularly attends hotel site visits and fam trips and thoroughly enjoys sitting in on meetings with visiting hoteliers here at our office – Hettie enjoys a good slideshow and occasionally likes to destroy a business card!!! We wouldn’t be surprised if one of her first words is ‘hotel’!!

Since last year we’ve had over 200 new enquiries with a variety of conferences, award dinners, product launches, roundtables, team building and incentives worldwide in a complete mixture of destinations including Saudi Arabia and Las Vegas. We never know what type of event will come in next and we have our lovely clients to thank for that! We are very grateful and proud to be able to work with such amazing people from such a wide range of industries.

This year we have hosted wonderful client trips at some of the countries most select venues, such as the stunning Peckforton Castle in Cheshire, the exclusive May Fair in London and the North’s 5 star resort Rockcliffe Hall in Darlington. We love hosting client trips as it gives us the opportunity to continue to grow our existing relationships and gives our clients the perfect opportunity to experience the service and facilities of each venue, which in return often leads to events confirming with the chosen venues.

As a team we have site visited countless amounts of venues all over the country, trying to focus on new openings, refurbished properties, individually owned hotels and venues under new management. Already this year we’ve visited the Principal Manchester, Stanneylands Hotel, Billesley Manor, Rockliffe Hall, South Place Hotel, Hotel La Tour, Ritz Carlton Abama, Walton Hall, Ellenborough Park, Mondrian London, Hilton Molino Stucky in Venice, Peckforton Castle, Wood Hall, Carden Park, Hyatt Regency Birmingham, Rookery Hall and the Chester Grosvenor to name but a few. We also visit specific cities to try and see as many properties as we can in a day – the record so far is 5 which Hannah & Sarah managed to do in Liverpool earlier in the year! We are constantly trying to improve our venue knowledge through our visits and attending fam trips, along with industry exhibitions, lunches and forums.

This year Hannah was fortunate enough to attend the ‘M&I Forum’ in Disneyland Paris and ‘CONFEC Red’ in Venice. Hannah and Sarah also attended ‘The Meetings Show’ in London. We love to go to exhibitions as we get to network and learn about different venues – it’s also a great way to continue building relationships with our existing suppliers and to meet new ones.

Since last year we have met with so many different hoteliers, whether that has been at the venue themselves or at our office in Somerford. We have an average of 3 meetings a week! So we take every chance we can to find out more about venues and make new contacts! 

We would like to thank all of our AMAZING clients, account managers, hoteliers and of course our supportive friends and family!  We are already excited to see what the next 12 months brings!
