Sarah joined the Bell Events team early last week, keep reading to found out what she has been up to and what she has achieved…
'First, let me introduce myself, my name is Sarah and I’ve been at Bell Events for just over a week now and I love it! Previously I studied English language, Philosophy and Photography at A-level and then went on to work at a Marketing and PR company. After six months I decided I wanted to pursue a career in an industry I had always been fascinated by; Events! So when I saw that Bell Events were taking on an Apprentice I jumped at the chance and I was lucky enough to get the job of Junior Event Coordinator.
My fascination for events stemmed from loving architecture, I adore the many different types of architecture from all around the world, including the hundreds of historical buildings around the world which have been taken over by hotel groups and restored to their former glory! Which other industry would be more perfect? Getting the opportunity to research beautiful hotels nationally and internationally, book events for our clients and even visit some venues!
Although I have only been at Bell Events for a short time I have already learnt so much with the support of Laura and Hannah. I’ve learnt how to respond to clients who contact us with a number of different enquiries, how to produce proposals and so much more.
I have already had the opportunity to go on a local site visit with Hannah where we went to hotels in the surrounding area and enjoyed a lovely lunch in the beautiful Tap and Pantry room at the fully refurbished Stanneylands Hotel in Wilmslow. I was then fortunate to get another opportunity to look at even more amazing hotels but this time in Liverpool, my favourite UK city! This has all been in my first two weeks!
So far I have really enjoyed my time here and I am very much looking forward to continuing to work with the Bell Events team. I am already amazed at how much responsibility and opportunities I have been given. I can’t want to see what the future holds for me at Bell Events!'
