Rocco Forte Annual Showcase 2016 Frankfurt

This weekend Hannah had the pleasure of joining Rocco Forte’s Annual Showcase 2016 at the Villa Kennedy in Frankfurt! Keep reading to find out more:

‘’The weekend at Villa Kennedy started with a networking event for all of the guests and the hotel groups' representatives from around Europe, this was held in Villa Kennedys Ballroom. The evening was an Italian theme with a fabulous band and food stations all around the room, these were ‘cook to order' and you could choose from fresh fish filleted in front of you, fresh pasta, veal, mozzarella, sundried tomatoes and salads, along with fresh octopus, olive oil and breads. All washed down with plenty of Italian red and white wine! The evening ended with lots of dancing, photo booth fun and some cocktails in the JFK Bar, before heading off to bed in our huge rooms with massive king size beds.

We were then up bright and early to enjoy the next day’s activities after a lovely breakfast of fresh fruits, cereals, lovely coffee and fresh eggs cooked to your preference. The large group of guests were split into two, I started with a tour of the city! We had maps, challenges and questions to complete on our tour in order to win a great prize at the end! The activities ranged from being the quickest and most stylish on a scooter to taking creative selfies. We then stopped off in a typical German restaurant/pub where we enjoyed a local drink of ‘Glühwein‘, mulled cider. We continued our walk making our way back to the hotel but stopping along the way and heading into the ‘Deutsches Film museum’ and then over to ‘Holbein’s’, a gorgeous restaurant that can be hired out entirely for private use, just a 10 minute walk back to the Villa Kennedy, we enjoyed a glass of Prosecco or two before heading back over to the hotel for lunch. We then enjoyed a buffet of fresh fish, meats, salad, breads and freshly made ravioli.

After lunch the afternoon activities then began, the group was split again into two and we enjoyed a competitive game of curling on the terrace of Villa Kennedy, the score was a close one with my team scoring 29 and the opposition winning with a score of 34! We headed back inside for a quick coffee and cake break before meeting with the hotel group representatives and learning about the Rocco Forte Hotels around Europe. We then had an two hours of free time before we headed offsite for an evening meal at the ‘Kameha Suite’ where we enjoyed a canapé and cocktail reception before heading up to the main restaurant for our evening meal, we started with a cream of celery soup, followed by a fillet and cheek of beef and finishing with a coffee cake and berry ragout. Then came the prizes and the raffle, for the winners of the city tour challenges there was a bottle of blue nun! The raffle prizes were some amazing trips to 3 of the Rocco Forte Hotels, in Berlin, St Petersburg and Sicily! The evening then ended again with plenty more cocktails in the JFK Bar back in the hotel before heading off to bed for a goodnights sleep before an early flight back to England.

Safe to say the trip was a memorable one and its all thanks to the guests, the Rocco Forte Hotel Representatives, Cornerstone meetings and of course the team at Villa Kennedy!”
